Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States. Come learn about the signs and symptoms, guidelines for screening colonoscopies, precautions to prevent the disease, and the cutting edge treatments. Are you interesting in Kayaking, but don't know how to begin? Kevin Stiegelmaier, author of Canoeing and Kayaking New York and Paddling Long Island, will discuss all the do's and don'ts associated with the sport. Preference given to UFSD #22 residents.

Keri Oppenheimer, M.S. CCC-A, FAAA Audiologist and owner of Ascent Hearing Center in Wantagh will be sharing important information on hearing health and protection and the myriad of negative effects associated with hearing loss. Complimentary hearing screenings will be offered. Both adults and children are welcome. Preference given to UFSD #22 residents.
   
  River Cruising: A guide to the World’s Waterways

  The Honeymooners: Jackie Gleason and Company

Join us for a delightful trip down memory lane as we investigate the career of Jackie Gleason. We’ll be focusing on the classic series “The Honeymooners” and we’ll watch a rare episode titled “Hello Mom” which aired on December 3, 1955. Preference given to UFSD #22 residents.
   
  Starry Night: Star & Constellation Identification
Wednesday, August 12 at 7:00pm

Join John Beatty, US Coast Guard Auxiliary and public education officer for the unit at Republic Airport, for this lecture about a quick tour of the sky to help you locate constellations and stars. Attendees will be able to locate the North Star and some of the major constellations by the end of this program. Preference given to UFSD #22 residents.
   
  UFO’s Over Long Island

Join Joseph Flammer for this multimedia presentation about UFO sightings and suspected alien high strangeness, reported abductions, UFO history, and theories about alien visitations. There will also be a question and answer period. Preference given to UFSD #22 residents.

Global Harmony House will be here to help you to gain insights and inner methods to change the pattern of thoughts from the most prevalent illusions that keep us trapped in our habits of waste and negative thinking. James Jadotte, Career Peer Consultant, will be here for a workshop tailored to the fundamentals of preparing oneself for the job market.
